Rugs for the bedroom
Rugs are often found in bedrooms too. Find the possible options below:
You can position the rug under the bed, or use it as a floor covering in another area, or put it alongside the bed to give you a soft surface for your feet when you get up.
The size should mostly be determined by the width of the bed.
Rugs for small bedroom
Small bed
In a small bedroom you should look for a smaller rug. While the bedside tables should be positioned directly on the floor, the front legs of the bed can be located on the rug, so the bed is surrounded on all sides. The rug is positioned 1/3 of the way under the bed, which makes the bed seem longer.Standard sizes:
200x300 cm | 200x350 cm | 250x300 cm
Rugs for large bedrooms
Large bed
Carpet, which is completely under the bed, should stand out at least 60-90 cm, so that you have a comfortable feeling when putting your feet on the ground.
Carpet runners to go around the bed in bedrooms
Bedside rugs
Surround the bed by using 2 rugs alongside and/or 1 rug at the end of the bed. For a small bed, a single bedside rug on one side is sufficient. To work out the size of a long rug to go at the end of the bed, you should add 30 cm to the width of the bed on both the right and left. If more space is available, the layout can be varied. For a bedside rug, the design should be no longer than the bed, but wider than the bedside table(s).Standard sizes:
Bedside rugs 2x 70x140 cm, 70x340 cm (double bed: approx. 180 x 200 cm)
